.
Custom URLs
ProcFu gives you an option to create a more user-friendly experience by setting a custom URL (e.g., procfu.com/customapp
). You can choose a custom URL that's relevant to your app's purpose and easy for users to remember.
Rules
- Custom URLs must be unique across all ProcFu users. You can't choose one already in use by someone else
- Custom URLs must be at least 5 characters long. If you enter a shorter name, ProcFu will automatically add underscores to reach the minimum length requirement.
Double Access
Please note, Setting a custom URL (e.g., procfu.com/customapp
) for your ProcFu App won't disable the original URL (procfu.com/widgets/mcapp/APPID
). Users can access your app through both options.
Custom Subdomains
⚠️ This feature is currently in Beta testing.
Take your app branding a step further by using a subdomain of your business domain (e.g., subdomain.businessdomain.com
).
Here's how:
- Choose a Subdomain: Select a subdomain within your domain that best suits your app.
- Set Up DNS: Create a CNAME record for your chosen subdomain pointing to
proxy.procfu.com
. - Wait for DNS Propagation: Allow some time for the DNS changes to take effect (usually a few hours).
- Submit Support Ticket: Contact ProcFu support with details of your configured subdomain.
- Manual Configuration: The ProcFu team will then manually add your subdomain to the proxy configuration and notify you upon completion.
- Accessing Apps through Subdomain: While your apps become accessible through
subdomain.businessdomain.com/customapp
, directly accessing the subdomain itself (e.g.,subdomain.businessdomain.com
) will display a red error page. This is because the subdomain acts as a gateway to your custom URL apps, not a standalone webpage.
Adding a subdomain happens at the account level, not the app level. This means all your custom URL apps become accessible through that same subdomain. You CANNOT add a subdomain to a particular app only.
Limitation

For Podio and Google login methods, ensure the Login Button option is checked (or use the IFrame setting) to prevent users from being redirected back to the procfu.com domain.
